Wee bit of me Wednesday...on a Thursday!! :)

1. Have you ever milked a cow or a goat?

Why yes, yes I have! We went to a place called Dewberry Farms a couple of years back with my dad's company and they had a cow there that you can milk! I also think I might have milked a cow even before that at the rodeo! It's pretty neat!


2. What sound does your alarm make when it goes off in the morning?

I use my phone as my alarm so it is just a ringtone that is one the phone.  I do prefer this to a traditional "buzzer" alarm clock...but who really likes to wake up in the morning? Not me for sure!


3. Chocolate milk or hot chocolate?

Hot Chocolate all the way! Salted hot chocolate to be more specific.



4. What is one of the quirkiest things about you?

Ok this is weird and frankly I didnt even think of this thing at first...I had to ask my sister what she thought my quirkiest thing about me would be. But she is totally right. I hate, hate, HATE being touched really softly. Like just the slightest touch gives me the weirdest sensation and I can feel it for hours afterward! Don't get me wrong...it's not that I can't be touched at all...its just like if your gonna make contact just make contact! lol My sister always threatens me when I get in a hyper mood(which might be another quirky thing about me come to think of it!) that she will "touch me softly"...needless to say I stop. LOL!!


5. Are you more like your mom or your dad?

Um I look more like my mom but definitely have more of my dad's personality! The traits I got from him are probably not the best in the world but we all learn to live with ourselves! HaaHaa just kidding!

So which one do you think I look more like?



6. Do you sleep with the tv on?

No! No! No! Grrr that drives me nuts! It has to be totally quiet and dark or I don't feel like I'm 'enjoying' falling asleep! Weird I know. My parents though, HAVE to fall asleep with the t.v. on. So if I ever travel with my mom we always fight over the t.v. being on....she always wins! I just wait up till she falls asleep then turn it off! Ha!



7. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?

Any shade of purple...i love purple!



8. Ross, Joey, or Chandler?


Well I wasn't a big Friends watcher growing up, but I would have to pick Chandler.



9. Do you play any musical instruments?

Yes, I do! I play the French Horn and Clarinet. I played French Horn throughout middle school and all four years of highschool. I played the Clarinet in middle school.



10. What's the worst thing you've ever cooked/baked?

Ya know, I don't know...Oh! yes I do! It was a lemon meringue pie...aweful, aweful, aweful. And normally I am terrific at following recipes...so either this was a bad recipe or I totally screwed up. I do have a funny story about my sister though...She made chocolate chip cookies last year at my house  for christmas. They tasted like she used salt for sugar! They were soooo salty! I know this wasnt the case, but she must have miss read tablespoons for teaspoons or something! LOL!! It always seems like she screws up recipes at my house...anywhere else and it comes out perfect...i dunno!

Outfit of The Day

So I am really liking my outfit today...It's nothing too special but for some reason I really like it! The cardigan has some really cool detailing on the shoulders and across the top of the back. I paired it with some pearls and my white watch along with some round toed boots and I really like the outcome! Check it out!

Big Apple Red

So I went and got a Mani/Pedi this past weekend and decided I wanted to wear a "sexy" color this time around! The brightest, reddest color they had was Big Apple Red and I absolutely love it!

(The middle finger is not messed up it's just the lighting!)

Master Bath Redo Continued...

I forgot I had a few more pictures I had taken in my phone. So here they are:

This is the cement Alex used to level out the floor before the new floors went down...

We changed out the A/C vent and the exhaust fan. We added an exhaust fan with a light to help out with the lighting in the shower. We needed this because even though our new lighting is beautiful it is quite as bright as what we had before.

Hopefully soon I will have the Afters!

Oh and I am working on a post about a marriage seminar Alex and I went to a couple of weeks ago...

Master bath redo

Labor day weekend the hubby and I decided to finish the redo we had started months ago on the master bath.  We already redid the shower, turning it from a tub/shower combo into a full stand up shower.  So that weekend we painted (well actually I did this!), put up a new light above the sink, put in a new vanity (a taller one with more counter space), and replaced the a/c vent as well as the exhaust fan, added a swanky new mirror (that I just love!) and put down new wood floors!  I only have a picture of the vanity area because my mom wanted me to text her a picture of the project so I had this picture on my phone! lol The befores as well as the after of the shower I still need to upload off my camera. But I thought I would at least update on this part because well, I have been slacking on my blog posts!

Yes I know our bathroom is small, but we have an older house and thats the way they come!

The Lovely Scentsy!

A few months ago my sister and I hosted a girls night for all our friends.  Along with yummy food, drinks and games we also hosted a Scentsy Party!! If you don't know what a Scentsy is, it is a very fragrant wax that you melt with a light bulb! So safe and smells sooo good! After that night, I have become addicted to them.  That night I bought two full size warmers, two plug-in warmers for my bathrooms and like 10 of the scent bars!

Sex in the City 2

Ok so I went to see the movie that everyone has been talking about...thats right...Sex in the City 2! I had been hearing a lot of mixed reviews on the story line as well as the overall likability of this movie. I heard from several people that this follow up to the fabulous first Sex in the City movie lacked a story line and that it was only good for laughs and to catch up on some old characters. These several people also said they would not buy the movie. On the other hand, I heard from several others that it was not quite as good as the first movie but it was loved just the same. Well now I can put my own two cents in because I have actually seen it!
I personally loved the movie just as much as I loved the first. I did think there was a story line and a good one at that. I will leave it at that for anyone who wants to see it but still hasn't. Here is the weird part of my movie going experience....The film that this particular theater had, showed the microphone throughout almost the entire movie. Weird? I know! So for about 85% of the movie you could see this little black ball above the person's head. A lot of times you could see the whole mic as well as the bar that holds it up. A couple of times I even could spot the track lighting on the ceiling. My mom commented, even though I didnt personally catch it, that she could see the soundman's shadow! The movie was still enjoyable, you just needed to look past these little "imperfections"! Now the movie theater we went to was not a "ghetto" theater. It was fairly new and a chain theater. I really wanted to speak with a manager and get a partial if not full refund. My mom, who I was with, however talked me out of it stating it wasnt that big of a deal. What do ya'll think? Would you have spoken with a manager if you were in my shoes? I just figured why should I have to pay full price for an unfinished movie? I even wondered if they knew what they were showing.
So that was my interesting movie going experience! Very strange I know!

New Neighbor!

So I am really excited for the weekend coming up. It will be a busy weekend but also a fun weekend all in one! I am getting a new neighbor! Well actually she is not so new to me at all....one of my dear friends Kandace, is moving in across the street! How cool is that? Tomorrow she gets the keys and we are going to start on some painting. Then early Saturday the movers will come to pack her up and bring all her stuff to the new house. Then its the fun part...decorating her new space! I have a feeling I will be sore before the start of next week! Pictures to come...stay tuned!
